We may be more affordable than you think

We hear from many families who are surprised to find a Providence education  more affordable than they anticipated. We work hard to keep tuition rates competitive with other private Christian schools in the Green Bay area, but we also know that most of our families sacrifice financially in order to send their children to Providence. If finances are a potential barrier  to joining the Providence family, please contact the Admissions Team today and we’ll walk through your options together.

Through a combination of strong donor support, the Legacy Endowment Fund,  fundraising, and grants, Providence is able to reduce the true cost of education by 25%. Many of our families also qualify for need-based scholarships for up to 50% off of tuition. To apply for these scholarships you can use the same FACTS login as for an application and select Payment Plans / Financial Aid.

To discuss your family’s specific situation and to make sure financial considerations are not a barrier to joining Providence, contact the Admissions Team.

For families in which their primary compensation comes from a parent in full-time Christian ministry, spreading the Gospel as a pastor or missionary of an approved Christian institution, tuition assistance of up to 90% may be awarded.

To be eligible, applicants must complete the Pastor / Christian Ministry Tuition Benefit Application as well as the FACTS Financial Aid Application.

Providence Academy teaches from a biblical worldview in which we seek to integrate the truth of biblical revelation in every part of our curriculum. In order to create an environment that will raise a child in the ways of the Lord, we look to make God’s truth, God’s goodness, and God’s beauty a part of everything we do.

In order for a private school to be eligible for the Wisconsin Private School Choice Program (PSCP), they must comply with the following:

  • Applicants must not be excluded due to religion, or church membership (Statute 118.60.3a), or on the basis of sexual orientation (42 USC 2000d. Statute 118.60.2.4)
  • Parents must be allowed to opt out of any religious instruction or activity (Statute 118.60.7.3.c)

Because of this, Providence Academy vehemently declines participation in the PSCP and will stay fully committed to our vision to equip biblical leaders and to the advancement of Christ’s Kingdom.

The Wisconsin Department of Revenue – Schedule PS (Private School) allows parents to deduct up to $10,000 per student in grade 9-12 at a private high school, regardless of income. Parents with students in grades K-8 at a private grade school may deduct up to $4,000. If a student moves from grade 8 to high school in the same tax year, parents may claim both tuition expenses up to $10,000.

One additional way we help families defray costs is through regular fundraisers. Each family has an annual fundraising requirement with a maximum family requirement of $1,200. Families can also choose to opt out and have the amount added to tuition instead, but fundraising helps many families save more than they expected, and in most cases fundraising purchases are items/services families already buy anyway so it’s not really too hard to fulfill. Opportunities include Scrip programs, wreath sales, box tops, and more.
