Christ at the Center
Why Providence?
If all truth is God’s truth, then education that ignores or opposes God’s truth is based on a lie.
Providence Academy strives to partner with parents in raising up Godly leaders whose firm foundation is Jesus Christ. Through our Christian and classical method of education, we teach our students how to think, learn, and reason with a biblical worldview. Our goal is to achieve excellence in education, but most importantly, build future generations of strong believers who can stand firm in their faith and impact the world for Christ.
Our distinctly and thoroughly Christian education aligns teaching in the home, church, and classroom. With deep roots, your children will be equipped to talk the talk and walk the walk of truth, goodness, beauty, and virtue.
5 Reasons to Choose Providence
1. The Classical Educational Model
More on that in the “Why Classical?” section below, but simply put for now: The Classical education method that we follow is the best preparation for continuing education and for a full, rich life. It includes the training in critical thinking found in prep schools and Ivy League colleges. At Providence Academy, students learn how to think and solve problems on their own. Your children will be more knowledgeable, resourceful, confident, and independent.
2. Serious Learning Environment With Parental Responsibility
Providence Academy expects families to be an integral part of the education process. With this parental involvement comes a better understanding of a child’s educational and personal development. And you can be assured that we reinforce your Christ-centered faith on a daily basis. We also provide the necessary character-building discipline and adherence to etiquette that creates a serious learning environment with proven academic excellence.
3. Lowest Student-to-Teacher Ratio
When your children attend Providence Academy, they will have the personal, one-on-one interaction that is critical to learning. If a student is falling behind, we work with them and their family to turn things around. We also ensure that fast learners stay motivated and challenged. Our commitment to having the lowest student-to-teacher ratio in both our Lower and Upper Schools enables our faculty to be more flexible and responsive to the learning needs of your children.
4. Fastest Growing Local Christian School
With enrollment increasing (doubled in 10 years), it’s clear that Providence Academy is in growth mode and carving out a leadership position in private interdenominational Christian education. Parents have peace of mind knowing that Providence Academy is going to be here for the long-term and a growing momentum feeds our school spirit. We’re preparing to double enrollment again with a new, state-of-the-art $12 million campus.
5. Best Private Christian School Value
We understand choosing a private school over public education requires an additional financial investment. That’s why we strive to create the best value for your education dollars, including scholarship and financial aid programs. Providence Academy provides a proven and superior educational curriculum, the smallest class sizes for more personalized attention, and a rigorous learning environment that engages parents and reinforces family morals and a biblical worldview.
Why Classical?
Let’s correct some misconceptions up front: Classical Education is not outdated, elitist or technology resistant.
In fact, it’s a renewal of a time-tested model, growing exponentially in the United States because it does a better job preparing students for the modern and future world than progressive methods found in most other private and public schools. And on the tech front, we adapted to virtual delivery faster than other local schools when COVID-19 hit.
Reinvigorated by Dorothy Sayers’ essay, “The Lost Tools of Learning,” and validated by decades of life outcomes from ACCS (Association of Classical and Christian Schools) alumni — vs. public, secular private, Catholic, evangelical Christian and religious homeschool alumni — the Classical Education model is continually proving itself.
Providence Academy is a member of the ACCS and was one of its charter members in 1994
